When did we stop caring about civilian deaths during wartime?

As the Gaza conflict drags on and bombs keep falling, Robert Fisk asks about civilian deaths and if the mere monitoring of bloody conflict assumes precedence over human suffering.

Israel had requested access to “bunker-buster” bombs developed by the US, and also clearance for flying over Iraqi airspace to get at Iran. Both requests were denied.
